My husband Jack and I are both originally from Chicago, with a 5 year stopover in Melbourne/Palm Bay, Florida. We are so happy to be in the mountains of Western North Carolina sharing our home with you. We've been married for 17 years and have 3 magnificent daughters.
We're experienced world travelers with a passion for local culture. We've stayed in all classes of hotels, from opulent luxury to hole-in-the-wall basic. We've found our stays with local people in a bed and breakfast inn to be our favorite. That's the main reason we decided to start our own bed and breakfast business. |

Rose is a Board Certified Nutrition Consultant, Holistic Health Practitioner, Author and Chef. She has been studying health and wellness for over 14 years. She uses her diverse knowledge of health and matches it with a love for food preparation, cooking and entertaining. We take pride in creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere with your satisfaction as our ultimate goal.

Our Philosophy on Health and Wellness
What you will find on our breakfast menus is local, seasonal, and organic produce, eggs, and dairy along with minimally processed foods that do not contain refined flours and sugars, artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors, preservatives, etc.
If you are at the beginning stages of your journey to a healthy lifestyle, you may assume that there is no way that all those restrictions could possibly result in something that tastes good! Well, we thought the same thing when we began our own journey to health and wellness. Through years of experimenting with ingredients, plus a healthy dose of nutritional balance, we’ve come up with a crowd pleasing menu to satisfy the fussiest eater as well as the true food connoisseur.
We are very passionate about eating right and also about moderation. Our favorite rule is the 80/20 Rule. When you eat right 80% of the time, the 20% of the time that you don’t make healthy choices won’t make a big difference. Although the optimal diet for all humans may (arguably) be 100% raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, this is not possible to maintain for most people in America or on earth. We focus on moderation and want you to know what you are putting in your body, and make conscious choices to keep yourself well. Doctors may be able to diagnose an illness, nutritionists may be able to recommend a diet, but in the end - only you are responsible for what you put in your mouth!
